Hi! I'm an admin here, friends call me Pony, non-friends call me many things, most of which can't be repeated in front of small children, people of strong religious faith, or small animals. I don't really have many enemies, because I'm too lazy to bother doing anything outrageous enough to piss people off. <--- may or may not be a lie.
I own the worlds most beautiful dog and the worlds ugliest horse. Or something like that. I'm the resident psychotic survivalist hermit. Or at least I like to pretend to be. Several times a year i dress up like a mountain man's wife and sleep on the ground, because I think it is fun. I have goats.
I cause great amounts of embarrassment and humiliation to my husband and teen age daughter. It's one of my great joys in life.

i'm lyric, another one of the admins, and creator of the site. i work at home as a web designer/programmer, and i have one son--kiernan, age 6. my main hobby is also reading, which is why i run a book club on here. looking forward to getting to know you.

I've got tooooo many books on the go at once it always feels like.  Currently reading "Jane Slayre" (Admitting that I have a soft spot for fantasy fic mostly involving vampires, lol). I know! Bill is a dick and a wuss! They really need to make Eric on the show more like the Eric in the books. Don't get me wrong, I adore Alex Skarsgaard (and would do very naughty things to him if given the chance), but the book version of Eric is such a better badass. And funny as hell, too. The whole orgy thing with Sookie in book 2?? Hilarious.
I wish there was a way to incorporate Bubba into the show without it being cheesy, but I think it's impossible. I love Bubba!

I won't be doing this months read, but may take part in next month! Do you have an idea what will be next? .... Please tell me I'm not alone here in reading vamp novels. i haven't the slightest idea right now what i'm going to pick for next month. i really need to get on it though... i am not huge on vampire novels (i tend to enjoy vampire shows and movies more), but i LOVE Christopher Moore's vamp series--Bloodsucking Fiends, You Suck, and Bite Me. you should check them out. they are hilarious. oh, and i fully intend to read all of the sookie books if linds ever gets around to sending them to me! |
