Welcome! I'm lindsay, one of the co-owners and admin on this site!
I'm the mom to twin 3 year olds, Maggie and Olivia.
I understand the custody thing, my mom is raising my nephew as her own son, he was taken away from my sister (along with her other two boys). It can be hard, but good for you!
We've got a bunch of members with large families, and a ton of crafters on here. Get up to 25 posts, and the entire forum (including a big craft section) opens up to you!
Keep posting, and I hope to learn more about you!

Well hello there, and welcome!
I'm Pony, and I need more coffee! I'm almost 40 and have one kid who is only 4 years away from being old enough to legally kick out. I have a total geek husband, and I like to play video games between growing (and crafting) gourds and knitting.
I share my life with the one kid and the one guy, and the three people here share their lives with two dogs, three ponies, three barn cats, six house cats and four kittens that a stray decided to have at our house *sigh*. (Oh, I forgot the massive gold fish that lives in the ponies water tank. We had a rooster but he wandered off and never came home about two weeks ago)
Would you like a kitten? lol.

I should also add that I am a SAHM, mostly due to the fact that I am disabled and have been so for 5 yrs now. Ironically, my accident was the best thing that ever happened to me!!! I never realized how much I was missing out on my children's lives and then we got the little two!!

I'm Michael (Aracos - 41), a wedding photographer and occasional photojournalist, a mostly 'work' at home dad of Nicole (the PWCA - 12) and Beth (The Boo Sprite - 11 ). Their mind-blowingly cool mom, my wife of 22 years, Tracey (40) un-schools them here in our nice little recycled cabbage* a mile deep on the back end of our many forested acres in the hills of Western Maine. (The very same place that we homebirthed them!) We're Pagan and interested in natural health, self governance, self reliance, organic local foods, alternative energy/building...etc...and GFR is a great place for all sorts of discussions like that. (Gods, that all makes us sound so leftist-crunchy "Mother Earth News", but we're actually libertarian "Back Woods Home".) *cabin/cottage |

hi there, i'm lyric, co-owner/admin and webmaster for the site. i'm a work at home mom of one - kiernan ambrose, age 5 (he's graduating from kindergarten next week!). i'm sort of super inactive a lot of the time, but i run the book club, which i am absolutely devoted to.

Wow!!! Another Mom of six!! Just one boy, huh!! My hubby would have totally kept trying if I hadn't put the kabash on that!! Just one boy, he is totally spoiled rotten. He was also the baby for 5 years. We really wanted another boy but Amelia is pretty awesome being a girl anyway. My husband has totally agreed that we are done yet. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens in the next couple of years. |
